We are all aware that Colorado winters can be bitter, cold, and downright unpleasant. One of the staples to warm up any night is chili. Try out this chili recipe for the whole family:
Ingredients:
2. Heat remaining oil in pot. Add onions and cook until golden brown. Add jalapeño and cook, stirring occasionally, until onions and jalapeño are soft. 3. Add garlic, chili powder, cumin, paprika, and tomato paste. Add salt and pepper to preferred taste. Cook, stirring regularly, until coated (about 1-2 minutes). 4. Stir in beef broth and crushed tomatoes and bring to a boil with high heat. Stir in ground beef and reduce heat to low to simmer for 30 minutes. 5. Stir in beans and their liquid and simmer until the beans soften and chili thickens (another 30 minutes). 6. Serve with sour cream, cheddar cheese and tortilla chips.
