Loveland, Colorado, just like its northern neighbor, Fort Collins, has won numerous awards claiming that it’s one of the best cities to live in throughout the US. We don’t disagree, as Loveland has grown steadily in size and stature very well over the past few years. Loveland has a population of over 70,000, and has become one of the most popular destinations for Coloradoans to relocate to from in state. Loveland is home the Larimer County seat, and has a vibrant downtown area that is filled with numerous restaurants, bars, and popular shops.
Loveland was established back in 1877, and was named for William Loveland, who at the time was the President of the Colorado Central Railroad, and prominent businessman in Colorado, at one time being only the second owner of the Rocky Mountain News.
The City of Loveland is home to three golf courses, Mariana Butte Golf Course, The Olde Course at Loveland, and Cattail Creek Golf Course. All three are owned and operated by the City of Loveland, and all three courses are always in pristine shape.
Loveland became our first home when we broke into the Real Estate business back in 2001, because of the numerous homes that were being built at the time. Colorado Real Estate Pros routinely sells homes in Loveland, and we consider it our second home.
Loveland is home to quite a few bodies of water, including Boedecker Reservoir, Horseshoe Lake, Boyd Lake, Lake Loveland, as well as many other small lakes. These Loveland lakes are hopping with boat traffic during the summer months.
Because of its location, Loveland receives a very good amount of tourism traffic from travelers on their way to Estes Park, Fort Collins, and coming into and out of the Fort Collins/Loveland Airport.
The Loveland Fire and Ice Festival, in February, and the Colorado Governor’s Art Show and Sale in April are both popular festivals that Loveland and other Colorado residents attend yearly.
Loveland is home to the Budweiser Events Center, home of the Colorado Eagles, a minor league hockey team, the Colorado Crush, an Indoor Pro Football team, and also home to numerous concerts, fairs, rodeos, and events in Northern Colorado. Budweiser Event Center has become a staple in Northern Colorado since it was built back in 2002-2003.
Loveland is home to fantastic shopping, with The Promenade Shops at Centerra leading the way. Centerra is an outdoor shopping mall comprised of luxury, boutique shops, fabulous restaurants, and a state of the art movie theater. The Outlets at Loveland are located right across I-25 from The Promenade Shops at Centerra, and The Orchards are also a nice option for Loveland families and visitors.
Loveland and Fort Collins are growing at a historic rate, one which may eventually join both cities together with residential homes and commercial buildings. If you are interested in moving to Loveland, buying or selling your Loveland home, or finding that perfect Loveland Commercial property, Colorado Real Estate Pros is here to help you. Brad Sawatzky can be your Loveland Real Estate Agent of choice, and is simply a phone call away at 970-342-3568
