​The year of 2020 has been extremely rough on restaurants and retail businesses, and that’s why Colorado Real Estate Pros is encouraging everyone to shop and eat local this holiday season. We are asking all of our clients to patronize local businesses. Please buy and shop locally!

Winter Wonderland at Colorado Youth Outdoors
Every year, Colorado Youth Outdoors puts together an amazing and beautiful holiday lights experience for Northern Colorado. The lights display is available completely for drive-thru, so you don’t even have to leave your vehicle.

The goal of Winter Wonderland is to create a drive-thru experience where people in Northern Colorado can come together as a community to support one another and celebrate the season of giving. The lights display at Colorado Youth Outdoors is quickly becoming one of Northern Colorado’s most beloved holiday traditions.

Colorado Youth Outdoors is a non-profit organization serving Northern Colorado since 2001 allowing youths the ability to connect with others and create meaningful relationships around outdoor activities. These activities include fly fishing, trap shooting, fly tracing, archery, spin fishing, camping, survival skills, and so much more.

Spiked Hot Chocolate Recipe
Hot chocolate is not only festive, it’s one of the most versatile holiday-themed drinks out there! There are many different variations out there for hot chocolate with a little holiday kick, so try out Brad’s personal favorite below:

• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup water
• 2 1/2 cups whole milk
• 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2/3 cup Original Kahlua
• 1/3 cup Vanilla (or whipped cream) Vodka

Mix cocoa powder, sugar, salt and water in a pot and heat on stovetop on medium heat. Add in milk and cream and bring to a slight simmer. Add in vanilla extract, Kahlua, and vanilla vodka and stir again. Top with whipped cream and enjoy!
