I think the answer to this question is going to be a resounding 'NO', but as it's only October, and the weather is still pretty warm, it seems that the Fort Collins Real Estate Market is also staying the same. Since I officially opened our company on January 22nd of 2015, we have been busier than any other year that we have been involved in Real Estate. Trust me, that's a good thing. I had very high expectations, but I didn't think that we would be helping so many people and families buy and sell their Homes in 2015.
The frustrating part of helping anyone sell their house is the amount of time it has the potential of sitting on the market. Fortunately, there's been very few instances of that this year, but we do have a couple homes right now that have been on the market for about a month. In this case, we use extra methods of marketing such as letting the Facebook world know that we have a Fort Collins Real Estate listing available, and reaching out via other marketing methods to try and push them to sell. As we get into the middle of October, I have been speaking with other Fort Collins Realtors about what their year has looked like, and they are all in a similar place that I am. We've sold over 20 homes this year, and while the sledding hasn't always been smooth, it's been an extremely fun year getting to know more about the Fort Collins Real Estate market, the people that are migrating to Colorado from other states, and the folks who have been here all their lives and finally getting into their dream home. Dream Home - That's a term that I've learned is very relative for many people. For me, that means that I simply love the home that I live in. Sure, I have dreams of what I would do to my own Home given the time and money present itself, but really, a ‘Dream Home’ is what everyone can make of their home. Some families absolutely love the Homes that they currently live in, and would simply need to renovate them to create their dreams. Others want to have large lots with many acres, horses, and room to have their kids play. I think if I had my perfect scenario, it would be to have 2 Dream Homes! One in Fort Collins, and one outside, either up in the mountains of Colorado, or somewhere out east of Fort Collins so I could stay close to the city that I love. Back to the question at hand. I don’t know if it’s going to slow down this year. Personally, I don’t want it to, because I continually love meeting new people and families, and helping them buy and sell their Fort Collins Real Estate. That will never change. Maybe I’ll just have to take another vacation to take a small break and get away! I think that’s the answer!
